Class Descriptions

Power ~ Our power/vinyasa flow is a seriously vigorous class.  You will find a combination of sun salutations, deep opening postures, strong standing poses and challenging arm balances.  This class IS designed for experienced yogis, however all walks of life are absolutely welcome. Don’t run for the hills if you are newer to yoga, just remember to take breaks and pace your bad self!  We DO recommend you take a non-heated, warm or essentials class (or maybe two) before attending any of our HOT Power classes. And please, bring water….you WILL sweat.

Hot Power ~ 90-92, 40% humidity

Yoga Virgins ~ Perfect for newbies, or for yogis looking to focus on strengthening their foundation and technique. Regular practice will help you feel stronger, more flexible, and quite frankly, look fantastic! And that’s both on and off your mat, people……just sayin. (Non-heated)

 

Restorative (Restore Your Hardware) ~ Nourish yourself in positions that facilitate relaxation and health.  With the use of props, you will practice stillness, tension release and gentle breathing.  Quiet your system with supported floor poses and learn the practice of how to truly relax the body AND that crazy mind of yours.  Excellent for injured, stressed or tired bodies who need to be brought back to….well, normal! If you’re lucky, you may get a nice nap.  Seriously. (Non-heated)

 

Yin (Are YIN to Stretchin? and Candlelight Yin) ~ As the body unravels and releases stress, circulation increases and energy ignites!  Poses are held for 3-5 minutes to stretch your connective tissue and encourage a deeper release.  Ahhhhh! Students of every level are heavily encouraged to participate. It hurts so good! (Non-heated)

 

Teen Classes ~ Grades 8-12

Get Ripped: Challenging, dynamic, and playful sequencing for teens that will lead to greater self-awareness, focus, and empowerment. Teens will develop strength, flexibility, and balance. Perfect for teen athletes and for those who need to de-stress from the pressures of daily life! Come ready to sweat AND to laugh!

 

Gentle Yoga ~ Suitable for all levels.  A restful, calming class including breathing, gentle flowing movements, passive and supported poses. This is a perfect beginning yoga class that is also appropriate for those working with injury, limited mobility, or who prefer a softer, gentler approach to yoga. Class focus is on increasing range of motion in the shoulders, back, hips and legs, which will help develop balance, strength and flexibility.  Each class will have an increased time for meditation and breathing exercises that will help reduce stress, quiet the mind, and provide just the right amount of relaxation.
